Skiing in the Pyrenees
La Mongie - open 3 December 2011 to 10 April 2012 - the largest ski resort in the French Pyrenees is only an hours drive in the winter (this allow time to put on your snow chains). Also close by are Cauterets, St. Lary-Soulan, Superbagneres, Peyragudes, and Piau Engaly.
Festival Faites de la Musique
Festival of music is held every year on 21 June, the date was chosen because it is the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere. Free live music is performed in the streets across France in most towns.

Mirande hold a Country Music festival every year during July, this is one of the largest country music festivals in the world.
